Cassandra is a world-renowned, award-winning photographer based in Grand Prairie, Alberta. She is known for her compelling portraits of children and families and draws much of her inspiration from a childhood spent on a remote farm in Northern Alberta.
This course will cover:
CAMERA SETTINGS:
How to set up your camera and processing to achieve rich color depth, sharp images, and incredible compression and isolation of your subject.
LIGHT:
I will teach you how to use and wield light.
COMPOSITION:
I will explore different tools to create impactful compositions that will engage your audience and create interest.
STYLE:
I will reveal how to use clothing and accessories to create harmonious compositions that help in the storytelling of your images.
COLOR:
I’ll teach you how to use color to create compelling compositions.
STORYTELLING AND VISION:
Perhaps most importantly, I will teach you how to tell stories in your work. I will encourage you to use your beautiful voice and find what inspires you to create. I’ll give you tools to help you create work that is meaningful, impactful, and world-changing. I’ll help you do it in a way that honors your own story and your unique voice.
PRACTICE:
This workshop will include a children’s photo shoot.
PROCESSING:
I will teach you how to take complete control of your images and creative decisions and bring your images to life through processing.
In addition to shooting in her home country, Cassandra travels the world teaching photography workshops. Her direct, comprehensive and practical approach has benefited many photographers around the world.
